Nasi kuning: the rice Indonesians cook when there is something to celebrate.
Turmeric turns it gold and the aromatic leaves do the rest. In Indonesia yellow rice is served at birthdays, thanksgivings and anything worth marking, usually shaped into a cone. The kit has the heirloom rice, the turmeric blend, the leaves and Bali artisan salt already in it.
How to use it: cook exactly like plain rice. Serve with fried chicken, egg, cucumber and fried shallots for the full version.
