Unlike our blue and yellow kits, this is just the rice. A pink heirloom variety with a firmer bite and a nuttier flavour than white rice, and it holds its shape instead of going soft.
How to use it: cook like brown rice, a little more water and a little more time. It is firm enough for fried rice and risotto, and it holds up next to a gravy or curry rather than dissolving into it.
